The Bridge FM Radio Local Hero Awards 2019 gave you the chance to nominate and reward individuals who ‘go the extra mile’ and contribute so much to our communities.
The award ceremony took place at the Best Western Heronston Hotel & Spa on July 26th.
Hosted by Bridge FM Radio presenters Lee Jukes and Angela, it was a very emotional evening supported by the local business community and special guests.
Once again, we’d like to thank all our category sponsors and title sponsor: Bassetts Motor Group. Without your support, this event would not have been possible.
Thanks to the generosity of all who attended, our raffle draw raised much needed funds our nominated charity: KPC Youth & Community. Based at two centres in Pyle and Cornelly, KPC provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and vulnerable young people. They do this by offering training, recreation, advice, and support to help improve their prospects and well-being. You can find out more about this amazing charity at: www.kpcyouth.com
A big thank you to the amazing Shellyann who sang for us and absolutely smashed it! Shellyann is the a brilliant Welsh singer songwriter who, not only did Wales proud appearing on The Voice in 2015, but in March this year she was the overall winner of the Saturday night TV show “All Together Now”.
You’ll be able to hear the highlights from the event on a special programme on Bridge FM Radio on Thursday evening (August 1st) from 7pm.
